PeopleSoft Records Training for April 2000

Student 2000 Records Training Team will be offering the following training sessions in April.

If you already have access to People Soft, but have not attended any training, please reserve your spot now.

If you do not yet have access to PeopleSoft, and this message has been forwarded to you, contact the Customer Assistance Center at (612) 624-0555 to complete the paperwork needed for access. Or, contact them directly at: www1.umn.edu/cco/security/security.html

Please sign yourself up for training sessions. As a new user to People Soft, you should begin your training by attending the Student Data Inquiry session first; other training will follow this initial session. The dates and times available for training are listed below. Although additional sessions may be offered in the future, it is important that you take advantage of this training opportunity now, as there are many people to train. It is also important to come to your assigned session, as seating is limited to 16 seats.

For those who need to drive to the session, parking tickets will be validated for any U of M "pay as you leave" parking lot. The Huron Blvd Parking Complex is the closest to 2221 University, but often fills up before 10:00. Please do not park in the lot attached to 2221 as you may be ticketed and/or towed. PLEASE NOTE: Per Enterprise Systems Project policy, completing training is required before users can have access to PeopleSoft.

STUDENT DATA INQUIRY:
This class is mandatory for all NEW USERS to People Soft.

April 19 8:30-Noon at 2221 University Ave SE Room 300

This initial training is intended for new People Soft users who need to view student data online. The class provides an overview of the People Soft system, Campus Community, Admissions, Student Records, Student Financials, and Financial Aid. You must attend this initial session in order to sign up for any other business process training sessions, such as Pre- registration. After attending, you will be given view access to the areas listed:

View Student Financials

Registration training is geared towards advanced level staff who will be processing enrollment requests, making registration changes, canceling and adding courses. If you have questions about this training session please e-mail the tech team at the address below for clarification.
