February 4, 2000 Update

Current plans call for PeopleSoft/Web systems to be unavailable from Thursday, February 17 at noon to Monday, February 21 at 6 am. During that time, the system will be upgraded to PeopleSoft 7.6.

Below is a detailed list of functions that will be unavailable, but basically, during that time, neither the PeopleSoft system (HEPCOM) nor the Web Registration system, which depends of PeopleSoft, will be available. Update Your Personal Information will not be available.

WHAT WILL BE AVAILABLE?

LIST OF UNAVAILABLE FUNCTIONS

OTR, Financial Aid, Bursar, and Admissions will not be able to perform any real-time on-line functions. So they can't register students, credit accounts, produce transcripts for currently enrolled students. These offices will remain open and assist students with issues and problems, although some issues could remain unresolved until the system is available February 21st.

WHAT'S IN THE UPGRADE?
The 7.6 upgrade is primarily a bundle of fixes to the PeopleSoft code. According to PeopleSoft, there are some performance improvements, primarily in the Bursar functions, which will not be visible to students in general. The upgrade also installs Financial Aid Regulation 1.

LOGGING INTO PEOPLESOFT ON MONDAY, FEB 21ST.
No changes need to be made to your desktop to access the upgraded version, as this is considered a "minor" upgrade. Clear your cache and log in as usual.

We'll continue to be in touch.
