New Web Registration Functionality, Spring Term 2000

This week marks the first time that students will be able to add classes, with the appropriate approval type and level, using the web.

If you remember back to Fall 1999, students were restricted to the 'drop' function only, after the first week of the term, having to do all adds via an operator at a registration center. For Spring 2000, the Enrollment Security patch to PeopleTools v 7.5 allows students to process their own adds via the Web front end.

This functionality uses dates determined by the institutions put into the system to define when Magic Numbers from instructors work and when Student Specific Permissions granted by the college take over.

Students may add classes (to the regular session) on the web with a Magic Number through these dates:

Twin Cities: January 31
Duluth: January 31
Morris: January 31
Crookston: January 25

Student Specific Permissions will allow students into regular session classes starting on:

Twin Cities: February 1
Duluth: February 1
Morris: February 1
Crookston: January 26

This add functionality will be available to students through the last day of classes. Adds after that date must be processed in a registration center.
