Business Services

The Business Services unit provides Central Security's front line customer service support.

Business Services offers adminiatrative, purchasing, and accounting services for Central Security as well as providing great customer service to our fellow departments.

Services Provided:

  • Customer Service Assistance
  • Central Security’s front desk staff is here to provide you the best customer service assistance possible.  Whether you have questions concerning card access requests, key inquiries, or any additional questions contact our Business Services unit at (612) 624-1750.

  • Administration
  • Our Business Services staff provides general administration for the department; including; PeopleSoft activities, maintaining alarm agreements, and updating all departmental contact information.

  • Finances
  • Central Security’s business office provides financial and purchasing support to our Technical, Access, Locksmith, Security ID Badge, and Emergency Communication Services.

  • Security ID Badge Program
  • To ensure accountability, protection of University assets, prevention of breaches in sensitive areas, and the safety of all U of M students, staff, faculty, and visitors; select University employees must wear Security ID Badges.  If you require this service, please see our Security ID Badge Program page.
