Services Provided

Customer Training and Support: Training and support to over 1,000 Department Access Coordinators (key and card access) across campus. Department access coordinator are Central Security’s partners in each building and department across campus. These individuals are selected or assigned by the dean or department head to coordinate keys and card access in their unit. We help configure access and clearance for appropriate individuals within each building, and develop automated unlock schedules to meet our customers’ needs. We also provide customized reports for card activity and clearance groups are available at customer’s request.

Programming Hardware Installations: Central Security will install and program new card-access hardware (card readers, door alarms, motion sensors) and digital video management systems (digital video cameras and recorders).

System Maintenance: Central Security is your first-tier resource for door-hardware malfunctions and other access emergencies. We have onsite service technicians, and 24-hour repair services are available. We also provide basic preventative maintenance on hard-wired card access hardware.

Card Access Database Administration: Cardholders are entered into our database for access to secured buildings and interior areas as needed. Each department access coordinator determines the appropriate level of building access required for individual cardholders. We strive for 24-hour turnaround on card access requests and immediate response to emergency requests (lost/stolen cards, termination).
