EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AND DIRECTOR’S COMMENDATION AWARDS

The DCS Employee of the Year Award was resented to Paul Stonestrom by Chief Greg Hestness.  Now in his third year as a Locksmith with the University of Minnesota, Paul earned outstanding customer service feedback throughout FY08.  He has taken the initiative to coordinate Fire Department Lock Box updates, ensuring that keys are readily available for emergency responders.  Paul’s fine efforts were also recognized by his co-workers, thanks to his positive attitude and excellent teamwork.

The DCS Departmental Commendation Award was presented to Aaron Joslin by Bob Janoski.  This award recognizes outstanding efforts in project coordination, incident response, and/or teamwork.  Aaron’s efforts to coordinate completion of a technical training manual for our Monitoring Center staff were impressive.  In creating a resource that will benefit our staff throughout the years to come, Aaron has demonstrated excellent stewardship.

Our Sgt. James A. Verbrugge Distinguished Service Award was presented to Gail Wagner by the retired UMPD sergeant himself.  During the past eight years Gail Wagner has served thousands of customers, overseeing our CCURE access control system.  Gail’s fine efforts, always focused on improving our processes, have made DCS a better service provider.  Gail provides excellent service to our customers system-wide with a commitment to our University that is second to none.
