CVPC Technical Advisory Team



The Center for Violence Prevention and Control Technical Advisory Team provides technical research assistance to principal investigators conducting violence-related research. The team, comprised of five professionals with comprehensive expertise in violence-related research methodology and epidemiology, has collaborated with researchers on six grants to provide support and facilitation through the following research processes:

  • Administative preparation (securing IRB approval and site cooperation);

  • Theoretical preparation (developing conceptual models and literature reviews);

  • Methodological preparation (preparing data collection instruments, protocols, and plans for data analyses, training, target population and sample identification, and data distribution and collection);

  • Data analysis (finalizing model, data cleaning and entry, computing and interpreting descriptive and/or inferential statistics);

  • Reporting (documenting methods, analysis, and results, reporting conclusions, limitations, recommendations, implications, and solidifying plans for dissemination and follow-up.

  • The following five members serve as the Technical Advisory Team:
