The Center for Violence Prevention and Control has also been involved, since 1996, in a collaborative effort with the Allina Foundation, by serving as a Technical Advisory Team, for six research projects aimed at identifying the magnitude of violence and relevant risk factors.

The Interdisciplinary Research Team includes individuals from many colleges and disciplines. Disciplines represented include: public health, epidemiology, nursing, law, psychology, sociology, social work, medicine, communications, public policy, human ecology, and education, as well as state level and local community members.
