The
Program:
We always start with some tasty Campus Club food to
insure that we have enough ballast for the Tasting.
We will have Wursts, U of M Cheeses, Vegetables, and
Breads.
From our presenter:
I want to introduce the Campus Club to a cracker of
a malt. It is Caol Ila ten year old unpeated. I first
sampled this malt last May at the distillery and I
was very impressed. There are only 6000 bottles produced
worldwide, but luckily Minnesota received a parcel.
It is only about $60.00 a bottle and it would be fun
to let Campus Club members in on a great whisky at
a great price. We will begin the tasting with the
Caol Ila.
After that let's sample a special class of Scotch.
There are only five distilleries in Scotland that
still utilize their own malting floor. We will work
on those after the Caol Ila.
The Whiskies:
Caol Ila Unpeated 10 yo
Balvenie Double
Wood 12 yo
Springbank 10 yo
We always break midway for some amazing poached salmon.
It goes remarkably well with Scotch!
Highland Park
12 yo
Bowmore 17 yo
Laphroaig 10 yo
