This is an excellent, informative, and entertaining presentation.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.



Doug Hoverson teaches social studies and coaches the debate team at St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights.

He is associate editor of American
Breweriana Journal, an award-winning
homebrewer, and a certified beer judge.

 

Apple Tasting

The University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
is co-sponsoring this event.
They will bring apples that have been developed
by the U's Agricultural Experiment Station.

You will be sample to sample, contrast, compare some famous possibly and famous-in-the-future apple varieties
as part of this Annual Oktoberfest.



The Format

This is an informal, self-guided event.
There is no formal presentation.
You go at your own speed.

Each participant will be issues 6 tickets,
each of which can be redeemed for 6 ounces of beer.
The food will be attractively presented
and you can serve yourself.

The Apple Tasting will have a special set up,
staffed by Peter C. Moe, Director of Operations
University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.

Each participant will also be issued a
raffle ticket (no extra charge).
We will give away
some beautiful full color apple and barley posters provided by MAES.

We hope to also have some
brewery goodies to give away.
