Audit Positions
The University of Minnesota Internal Audit Department
seeks to hire an entry level or senior financial auditor. The position
will analyze financial procedures and practices of various departments.
Some of the audit work involves verifying the accuracy of various
accounting transactions, analyzing financial statements, and reviewing
control reports for conformance to established regulations. As part
of the audit, the position will provide advice to departments on
more effective/ efficient accounting and information systems procedures.
This is an opportunity to work in one of the nation's premiere research
universities which has the goal to become one of the top three public
research universities in the world within a decade. The Internal
Audit department has been recognized as an industry leader. In 2003,
the Internal Audit department was one of 12 recipients worldwide,
which received a "commitment to quality improvement award"
from the Institute of Internal Auditors. The award recognized professional
excellence, quality of service, and professional outreach and was
based on a demonstration of knowledge.
