Information for New Staff and Faculty

Internet Access

The University creates Internet accounts for all staff and faculty. Your account won't be usable until you "initiate" it by defining a password. Your Internet account gives you 1 GB of file storage space on a University server, and 20 MB for a personal Web site.

To set your Internet password, call the Technology Helpline at 612-301-4357 (1-HELP)

Computer Helplines

Faculty and staff receive cost free assistance with computer and Internet questions via the Technology Helpline. You can either call or walk in to one of the three Helpline locations listed below. You can initiate your internet account, obtain your own copy of the Internet Software, have a forgotten e-mail password reset, and get help with technical questions about hardware and software.
