Connecting to the ADCS Info Server (Windows 95/98/2000/NT) | View PDF VersionTo connect to the ADCS Information Server from an on-campus, networked Windows 95 machine, you need to have Client for NetWare Networks (or Novell's Client 32) installed. To connect to the ADCS Information Server from an on-campus, networked Windows NT 4.0 machine, you need to have Client (or Gateway) Service for Netware installed. Once those items are installed, and you have restarted your computer, you should be able to access the ADCS Information Server through the Network Neighborhood icon on your desktop. Double-click it, and then double-click the Entire Network icon.
If you are give a choice between Microsoft Windows networks and NetWare networks, choose Netware. Similarly, if you are give a choice between NetWare servers or Novell Directory Services, you should choose NetWare servers.
You should get a list of all NetWare servers on campus. The ADCS Information Server is named ADCS-Info2. Double-click it to log in as guest. Publicly available shareware and freeware can be found in the pub directory. Software specific to DOS and Windows machines is in the Pc directory. |
